Introducing Well-being@Gov
What is Well-being@Gov?
PSD is launching a new Employee Wellness Programme (known as Well-being@Gov) for the whole of Public Service, with the objective of providing enhanced, holistic support for the well-being of our public officers. PSD has awarded the provision of Employee Wellness Programme services to Intellect Company Pte Ltd.
Intellect connects employees to personalised end-to-end care, marrying technology with a human touch to help you thrive in your everyday life, build resilience, and inch a step closer to your personal goals.
What services are included with Well-being@Gov?
With Well-being@Gov, you have access to:
- Unlimited self-care tools & skill-building programmes
- 12x coaching credits per issue per year with certified coaches & counsellors, with unlimited text-messaging (virtual/in-person)
- 30-minute virtual coaching – 1 credit per session
- 60-minute in-person coaching – 2 credits per session (for Behavioural Health Coaching only)
- 6x counselling credits per issue per year with certified clinical psychologists and counsellors (virtual/in-person – 60-minute sessions)
- Unlimited 24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline access for immediate support

How does Coaching, Counselling sessions and 24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline differ?
Coaching
Behavioural Health Coaching
Virtual/in-person sessions with certified Coaches & Counsellors to help you work through, better manage emotions, achieve your goals, and thrive.
Examples of areas Coaches can support you in include health & lifestyle, stress, relationships and conflict, and productivity.
Holistic Coaching
Virtual sessions and unlimited text-based messaging with specialised Coaches on specific domains of fitness, nutrition and financial to identify and achieve your goals.
Counselling
Virtual/in-person sessions with certified Clinical Psychologists & Counsellors who provide treatment to improve one’s sense of well-being, alleviate feelings of distress, and resolve crises.
Examples of areas clinicians can support you in: depression, trauma, anxiety issues, eating disorders, chronic insomnia, grief & bereavement.
24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline
In-the-moment telephone call service for those in urgent distress to speak with professionals. Responders provide in-the-moment crisis support followed by referral to the appropriate resources.
How is an issue defined?
An issue refers to the challenge / topic the individual is working through. This can be short term or long term, related to personal or work-related challenges, or mental health related.
At start of any coaching / counselling session, the coach / counsellor will align with you on the issue / goal. In the course of the year, you may utilise multiple bundles of credits to work with a coach / counsellor on differing issues / goals.
If more sessions are required for the same issue, you would have to pay out of pocket for additional sessions.

Credits
When are credits consumed?
- When you book and complete a session with your coach / counsellor; or
- If you cancel a session within 24 hours of its occurrence
Matching and chatting with your coach / counsellor does not consume credits.
How can I check how many credits are remaining?
Your coach / counsellor would be able to advise you if you are engaged in active sessions with them. Alternatively, you can reach out to support@intellect.co to get information on your remaining credits.
Can I see more than one counsellor / coach at the same time?
For coaching (Behavioural Health Coaching [BHC]) / counselling, you can only see one coach and/or counsellor at a time.
For holistic coaching, you can see a Nutrition, Fitness and Financial coach concurrently.
What if I am unable to change my coach / counsellor?
If you are facing issues with changing your coach (BHC) / counsellor, please reach out to support@intellect.co who can support you in matching with a new coach (BHC) / counsellor.
At present:
- Counsellors are auto-matched to users, and cannot be self-selected. Please reach out to support@intellect.co to facilitate a change of counsellor if desired.
- Alternative Holistic coaches is currently not supported.

Can I change coaches?
Most definitely! We believe that it’s important to work with a coach that is best suited for you. If you feel that the coach is not a right fit, you can choose a different coach immediately through the app.

Holistic Coaching
What is Holistic coaching?
Holistic coaching includes virtual sessions and unlimited text-based messaging with a physical fitness, nutritional and financial coach to discuss your needs related to these wellness topics. For the time being, holistic consultations are only available in English.

What does Counselling and 24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline cover?
Our counselling support and 24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline are there for people who require further care beyond the self-care app and coaching.
24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline
In-the-moment telephone call service for those in urgent distress to speak with professionals. Calls will be picked up within 25-45 seconds. Responders provide in-the-moment counselling, followed by referral to the appropriate resources.
Clinical Providers
Clinical Psychologists & Counsellors who provide treatment for people with emotional health issues to improve their sense of wellbeing, alleviate feelings of distress & resolve crises.
Here are some areas where you can get clinical support on:
- Chronic depression
- Anxiety issues
- Eating disorders
- Grief & bereavement
- Addictive behaviours
- Trauma-related
*Note: Psychologists are not able to prescribe medication, nor provide medical leave certs.
How can I access Counselling sessions?
Counselling
You can access counselling in the Intellect app, either by referral from your Coach, or if you would like to connect with a Clinical Provider directly.
- Click Connect to SOS support or Clinical Sessions [In the Care tab]
- Select Not urgent right now
- Complete the screening assessment.
- Get matched with a Clinician to book 1-hour Clinical sessions with a Clinical Provider.
How can I access the 24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline?

What is Critical Incident Support?
In the event your team experiences a critical or traumatic incident, reach out to Intellect via the 24/7 Well-being@Gov Counselling Hotline below and our team will provide next steps to help your team cope with traumatic experiences and process the incident healthily.
Critical Incident Support by Intellect includes multiple levels of support to managers and team members to cope with traumatic experiences at the workplace. The goal is to help the team process the critical incident healthily and bounce back as soon as possible.
What are Critical Incidents?
Critical incidents are sudden and unexpected, and oftentimes sufficiently disturbing to overwhelm a person’s coping capacity. These are some examples of critical incidents in the workplace:
- Co-worker passed away
- Workplace accident
- Security threat
- Physical assaults
- Sexual harassment
- Workplace bullying

Why is Critical Incident Support important?
A critical incident can adversely impact the team’s physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. Professional support can reduce the negative impacts by helping the team understand their reaction to the incident and process the traumatic experience healthily to prevent possible serious long-term effects, as well as to look out for severe symptoms to be referred for further help.
It is important to take note that critical incidents can affect team members who are directly and indirectly involved.
Face-to-face Sessions
How do I request for a face-to-face (F2F) session with Intellect?
You can request for a F2F session by contacting Intellect directly at support@intellect.co and include these details:
- Name
- Email address
- Agency
- Type of session requesting
Our Intellect team will then respond and coordinate the session with you. Rest assured all information will be kept private and confidential.
*Kindly note that the F2F session may not be the same provider as your Intellect coach or clinician in the app.
Privacy & Confidentiality
How does Intellect approach data privacy?
Our Zero-Knowledge Encryption policy keeps users’ data completely private. No one but you can access the self-care app content – not us, nor your employer.
All interactions with our providers are strictly confidential. That means your employer will not know who is using these services.
What data do we store?
The types of data collected include your registration information, participation in sessions, and user engagement data – aggregated and anonymised data.
To ensure user anonymity & confidentiality, we only use aggregated and anonymised data for product improvement, development, and research purposes.

What data can my employer see?
Your employer has no access to your personal data, or any data that is personally identifiable to you.
The organisation only receives high-level aggregated utilisation statistics that are anonymised and never personally identifiable to any individual.
